Resident Grocery Survey aims to understand resident grocery preferences

The Regional Fresh Food Council launched a survey this week to determine the impact of recent grocery store closures, where area residents buy their groceries, and how they feel about the available food products at the stores where they shop.  The focus of the survey is on residents of the South Side and East Bluff neighborhoods impacted by grocery store closures in early 2018.

After months of researching and benchmarking with national food council groups, we were strongly encouraged to begin community engagement in eliciting feedback and suggestions in order to create meaningful strategies in meeting the needs of the region. The 500 in 5 project serves as the foundation of data on which the RFFC will derive its future project work and support for key initiatives in the region.
